Selecting a virtual channel

• Select the menu item by pressing the E
The required console must be selected first, since each console connection
has a separate virtual channel table.

The virtual channel table for the selected console appears on the display.
V = Virtual channel number (1 to 1280)
3: 6: 14 =Physical position in level 1, 2, 3
Each entry describes the wiring route from the master to the computer with
the virtual channel number „V".
In the above example, virtual channel 36 points to a computer on level 3.
The master (level 1) switches to channel 3; the slave connected to it (level 2)
switches to channel 6 and the slave connected to channel 6 (level 3)
switches to channel 14.
Virtual channel assignments can be used even in a simple system with only
one Signum
cascaded configuration with several units from the Signum
