Caution!
All channel connections and the Console 1 connection of the Signum
are activated by the manufacturer, unless a different configuration has been
specified by the customer.
However, passive connections are required to connect computers to the
channel connections via Signum plus connection boxes or to connect a
plus
Signum Remote keyboard to the Console 1 connection.
The active connections can be changed over to passive connections by
making changes to the EPROMs and jumpers inside the unit.
Electronic or mechanical components may be damaged or
destroyed by unauthorized changes!
• Changes based on the customer's specific requirements may only be
made by the technical support service (
dealer.
• Only in exceptional cases may changes be made directly by an expert
authorized by the manufacturer. Separate conversion instructions
must be ordered in such cases and followed without fail!
• LINDY Electronics Ltd. cannot accept any liability for direct or
consequential damage to the unit if changes are undertaken directly.
Warranty rights are similarly extinguished!
The console connections Console 2-4 cannot be changed over from
passive to active!

If the Signum XB is installed in an equipment cabinet, the additional
requirements of IEC 950 must be observed!
• Select the position in the 19" rack where you want to install the
plus
Signum XB. Note the number of dummy panels needed to fill the front
panel of the rack.
Danger of overheating!
In order to permit a free flow of air in the cabinet, ensure that there is
sufficient space between the Signum
conditioning units.
