CONNECTING THE BATTERY PACK (Fig.4)
NOTE:
Before fitting the battery pack to the sander, press the
OFF switch down.
Align the raised rib on the battery pack with the grooves
of the sander, and then attach the battery pack to the san-
der.
NOTE:
Before using the tool make sure that the lock on the bat-
tery pack is engaged and that the battery pack is secured
to the tool.
REMOVING THE BATTERY PACK (Fig. 4)
NOTE:
Before fitting the battery pack to the sander, press the
OFF switch down.
Depress the battery release buttons located on the both
sides of the battery pack to release it.
Pull the battery pack out and remove it from the tool.
TURNING THE SANDER ON/OFF (Fig.5)
Fit the battery pack on the sander.
To turn the sander ON, depress the ON switch. To turn
the sander OFF, depress the OFF switch.
Charge indicator (Fig. 5)
This tool is equipped with a charge indicator which indi-
cates the battery pack charge level.
The green LED on the charge indicator indicates that the
battery is fully charged.
The orange LED on the charge indicator indicates that the
battery has used approximately one half of its charge.
The red LED on the charge indicator indicates the battery
pack is depleted and needs to be charged.
LED WORKLIGHT (Fig. 6)
The LED worklight located on the front of the sander will
turn on when the ON switch is pressed. The LED work-
light will turn off when the OFF switch is pressed. This
provides additional lighting on the surface of the workpi-
ece for operation in lower light areas.
WARNING:
The worklight helps to illuminate the sanding surface. It is
NOT intended as a replacement for sufficient lighting at
the work place. Failure to observe this warning can lead
to serious injury.

ATTENTION:
When fitting the battery pack to the device,
make sure that the raised rib on the battery
pack is in line with the groove in the sander,
and that the catch clicks properly into place.
Incorrect fitting of the battery pack can damage
internal parts.
