CHARGING A HOT BATTERY PACK
If the battery pack temperature is above the normal temperature range, the red LED will switch on and the green LED
will switch off. Once the battery pack has cooled to approx. 40°C, the charger automatically starts the charging pro-
cess.
CHARGING A COLD BATTERY PACK
If the battery pack temperature is below the normal temperature range, the red LED will switch on and the green LED
will switch off. Once the battery pack has warmed to approx. 0°C, the charger automatically starts the charging pro-
cess.
DEFECTIVE BATTERY
If the charger detects a problem, the red LED will begin flashing and the green LED will be off.
If the battery pack is identified as defective, remove it and re-insert it into the charger. If the status of the LED lights
indicate a "defective" battery pack for a second time, charge another battery pack.
If a different battery pack charges normally, dispose of the defective battery pack (see MAINTENANCE section of this
operator's manual).
If the other battery pack is also identified as "defective", you can assume a charger defect.

BATTERY CHARGING

While charging the battery pack at a normal ambient temperature (0° C to 40° C) the green LED flashes and the red
LED is unlit. The battery pack can be fully charged in 30 minutes.
Battery FULL
If the battery pack is within normal temperature range, the green LED will illuminate and the red LED will be unlit. The
battery pack is fully charged and ready to use. The battery pack will fully charge if left on the charger, but it will not
overcharge.
NOTE:
The charger can heat up in the event of multiple charging cycles. This is part of the normal charging process. Always
charge in well ventilated areas.
