Intended use

This measuring instrument is an optical tachometer
with precise measuring laser for commercial and hobby
applications. Measurement is performed on the basis of
reflection. This is guaranteed by using the supplied
reflectors, which are affixed to the rotating object. The
tachometer transmits a red laser measuring beam,
which is reflected by the reflectors, received by a photo-
diode in the tachometer and evaluated. Because of the
precision of the laser beam, even small objects can be
measured in a wide range of distances of from 5 cm to
100 cm. In the 5-digit liquid crystal display (LCD) the
measured value is indicated in rpm (revolutions per
minute).
The unit is suitable exclusively for battery operation. No
other energy supply may be used. Suitable types of bat-
tery are listed under "Technical data". The unit may be
operated exclusively via batteries (4 alkaline cells type
AA or LR6, 1.5 V). Never try to operate the unit on ano-
ther voltage or with other types of battery.
Any other use than as described above is not permitted
and can lead to damage to this product. In addition, this
carries other risks, such as injury to the eyes. The pro-
duct as a whole should not be modified or converted!
