1. Intended use

The Sound Level Meter with analogue dB display is intended for
measuring noise levels of all possible sound waves up to an
intensity of 126dB. It is a tool for use for example during the con-

struction and measurement of radiated-sound installations,
adjustment of stereo equipment levels, testing of sound insulati-
on or simple measurement of environmental noise, etc.
Any use other than as described above can lead to damage to
this product. This can moreover be accompanied by hazards, such
as for example short-circuit, fire, electric shock, etc.. The product
as a whole should not be opened, altered or modified!
The safety instructions must be observed and technical data
noted!

2. Safety instructions

• Check the instrument for damage before putting into use!
• In industrial facilities the accident-prevention regulations of
the Industrial Employers' Liability Association for electrical
systems and equipment must be observed.
• In schools, training facilities, hobby and self-help workshops,
the handling of measuring instruments must be supervised res-
ponsibly by trained personnel.
• To avoid impairment of hearing, be sure to use officially-
approved ear plugs with high levels of noise.
• Under adverse lighting conditions, e.g. in sunlight, the reada-
bility of the display can be impaired.
• Do not work with the thermometer in spaces or adverse envi-
ronmental conditions in which combustible gases, fumes or
