This product complies with the applicable National and European specifications.

Intended Use

The intended uses of the alcohol tester include measuring the alcohol level in exhaled breath.
This does not allow any conclusions to be made about the alcohol level in the blood. In no cases
may the device be used to evaluate driving ability or the ability to perform potentially hazardous
activities.
Only power the device by batteries (for correct type see „Technical Data").
The product may only be used indoors; never outdoors. Do not expose the device to damp, e.g.
in bathrooms etc.
Any use, other than that described above, may lead to damage to this product and involves other
risks, such as short circuit, fire and electric shock.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.

Safety Instructions

The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. We do not assume liability for any resulting damage.
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty
will be void in such cases.
In the operating manual, an exclamation mark inside a triangle indicates
important instructions.
The "hand" symbol indicates special information and advice on operating the
device.
• For safety and approval (CE) reasons, unauthorised conversion and/or modifications to the
product are not permitted.
• Drunkenness gives rise to slow reaction time and adversely affects discernment and
judgement. Therefore, it is a potential risk while driving a motor vehicle or performing other
hazardous activities.
• The alcohol tester measures the alcohol level in the exhaled air. This does not allow any con-
clusions to be drawn about the alcohol level in the blood and thus, must never be used to eva-
luate driving ability or the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities. Exact information
can only be obtained by a blood test.
• The degree of drunkenness, at which a person is still able to drive, depends on many factors
and also varies from person to person. Furthermore, it depends on body weight, the last meal,
the amount, time and duration of the alcohol consumption, the general physical condition,
health and many other factors. Thus, you should not drive after drinking alcohol consumption
nor should you perform any hazardous activity. The alcohol tester is only intended to give you
a rough indication of the alcohol level in your blood. It must not be used to determine driving
ability or the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities.
• To obtain reliable measurements, the instructions in this manual must be strictly followed.
However, faulty measurements may also arise due to polluted air or suchlike.
• We shall not accept liability for accidents or damage due to drunkenness.
• Only use the alcohol tester when you are not distracted by important processes such as the
traffic situation and environment.
• Do not expose the device to high temperatures, dripping or sprayed water, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
• Do not try to adjust, open, dismantle or repair the device. In the event of a malfunction, con-
tact an expert.
• Keep the alcohol tester out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave the packaging material carelessly lying around since it may become a dangerous
plaything for children.
• Please, also take note any additional safety information in these instructions.
