Introduction

Dear Customer,
With this 31/2-digit LED fitted panelmeter, FM 350 LED, you have
acquired a measuring device conforming to the latest state of the
art technology. It is designed for single measuring tasks. The mea-
suring range is 0 to max. ( 200 mV. It is very accurate and robust
despite its small size. It is designed as an installed instrument in
equipment, control panels, (annunciators) etc. (e.g. power supply
units). With a suitable input circuit (divider resistors), it can also be
used as a stand-alone voltmeter (in a housing - observe safety pre-
cautions). It is designed for domestic use only and, for safety rea-
sons, is not for industrial use.
The polarity, e.g. where there are negative measuring signals, as
well as the offset are automatically displayed.
The unit of measurement is not displayed.
The construction corresponds to DIN VDE 0411, Part 1 for
measuring devices (EN 61010-1). Furthermore, it is EMC-tested
(for domestic use) and therefore meets the requirements of the
applicable European and national directives. Conformity has
been verified and the corresponding documents lodged with
the manufacturer.

Proper Use

• The panelmeter without a suitable input circuit is approved only
for a maximum d.c. voltage of +200 mV or
• -200 mV.
• The panelmeter must not be operated unless fitted in a housing,
a control panel, an annunciator or similar unit.
• Taking measurements in damp rooms or outdoors or under ad-
verse ambient conditions is not permissible. Adverse ambient
conditions are as follows.
- Wet conditions or where the humidity is too high.
- Dust and combustible gases, vapours or solvents.
- Strong vibrations.
- Strong magnetic fields such as in the vicinity of machines or
loudspeakers.
- Static electricity (fields and discharges).
Use other than that described above will result in damage to this
product and also involves risk of hazards such as short-circuits,
fire, electric shock etc. No part of the product may be altered or
modified. Compliance with the safety instructions is absolutely
essential.
