❐ Remove the plug from the mains socket,

– before removing or changing the attachment / ﬂ oor cloth,

– before ﬁ lling or emptying the water reservoir,

– before cleaning the appliance,

– when the appliance is not in use,

– if a fault occurs while the appliance is in operation,

– before a thunderstorm.

❐ Never leave the device unattended when plugged in to the electricity supply.

❐ After every use, turn the device off and disconnect the mains plug from the socket.

In the process, never pull on the cord, but always on the mains plug.

❐ Make sure that the mains cable does not get pinched or kinked and does not come

into contact with hot surfaces.

❐ Check the device for damages prior to each usage session. If the device, cable, plug

or accessories are visibly damaged do not use the device.

❐ Do not disassemble the device. Only have the product repaired by a qualiﬁ ed

workshop or by customer service. In case of damage, contact our customer ser-

vices department (see "Customer Service" section).

Beware of Damage to Property

❐ Only use the device if it has been properly assembled and is fully functional!

❐ Never ﬁ ll the unit with cleaners or other additives. They may irreparably damage

the unit and as such, the safe operation of the unit can no longer be assured.

❐ Keep the device clean and dry.

❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.

❐ The appliance must be connected only to mains sockets that have been properly

installed and earthed in accordance with regulations. The mains socket must still be

accessible after the connection has been made. The mains supply must comply with

the technical data for the appliance. Only use the proper extension cables with the

correct technical data, compliant with that of the appliance.

❐ Never use the appliance without water! Make sure that the reservoir is ﬁ lled with

water.

❐ Only use accessories included in the product contents or exclusively those rec-

ommended by the manufacturer. Only use original spare parts provided by the

manufacturer.

❐ Always test cleaning ﬁ rst on a small area in order to check colour-fastness for

example.

❐ Never use more than one measuring cup of distilled water ﬁ lled to the MAX

FILL marker to ﬁ ll the water tank. Using any other liquid can damage the appli-

ance.

❐ Surfaces, which have been treated with wax, may lose their coat due to heat and

steam!

❐ Do not block up the apertures to the appliance.

❐ Do not allow the appliance to stay in any one position longer than 10 seconds

while it is in operation; never clean the same spot for longer than 10 seconds.

❐ Do not use the appliance to clean delicate materials such as velvet, linen or acrylics.
