instance, provides no benefits when
under way, it only increases wear on the
chain and sprockets.
Important!
The chain gear shift system of your ROT-
WILD bike has been thoroughly checked
and adjusted before delivery. Adjustments
to the system should only be carried out
by an experienced bicycle mechanic. In-
correct adjustments can lead to damage of
the gear shift system and your bike and, in
the worst case, total loss of motive power.
Please read the enclosed gear shift system
manufacturer's manual. ROTWILD recom-
mends that you consult an approved ROT-
WILD dealer for adjustments, maintenance
and repairs to your gear shift system.

Left shift unit – front derailleur
With the shift mounted on the left hand-
lebar, you can select one of the 3 front
chain rings with the help of the front de-
railleur. The large button shifts the chain
to the next largest ring (higher ratio), the
small shift lever shifts the chain to smal-
ler rings (lower ratio).

Right shift unit – rear derailleur
With the shift unit mounted on the right
handlebar, you can control the rear de-
railleur mounted on the rear dropout. The
large button shifts the chain to the next
largest sprocket (lower ratio), the small
shift lever shifts the chain to smaller
sprockets (higher ratio).
