3.2. Connection and activation

• Unpack the device and remove the wooden pallet (if used)
• Place the device on a straight and sufficiently firm surface, next level it off using the legs
• Remove the protective film from the display case parts
• If the device is delivered partially dismantled for security during transportation, the following steps should be taken:
1 – Install the hooks with the lighting inside the rack. Fig. 3 (p. 14).
2 – Install the inner cover of the upper shelf. Fig. 2 (p. 14)
3 – Install glass elements Fig. 5 (p. 15) in the suggested order:
• Fix glass sides to the rack Fig. 5/3 (p. 15)
• Mount the front glass pane in the pane grip Fig. 5/4 (p. 15) and attach it to glass sides using three-sided angle Fig. 5/6 (p. 15)
• Mount the upper glass shelf Fig. 5/1 (p. 15)
• Mount glass shelves on the inner surface and on the rack Fig. 5/12 (p. 15). The shelves should be placed on silicone
elements (bumper pads) Fig. 5/13 (p. 15) that prevent glass elements from moving.
• First cleaning of the device should be performed after unpacking the device and before its activation. The device sho-
uld be washed with water at temperature not higher than 40˚C with addition of neutral cleaning agents. When cleaning
or washing the device it is not allowed to use agents containing chloride or sodas of various types, which
damage the protective layer and components of the device. Any adhesive or silicon remaining on metal elements
of the device should be removed only with extraction naphtha (it does not refer to plastic components!). No other organic
dissolvent can be used.
Do not use water stream for washing the device. The device should be washed using a wet wipe.
After installing the device in the intended place it should remain off for at least 2 hours before turning
it on (it refers to the devices with an internal refrigerating unit) so that the oil is levelled, preventing any
problems with activating the refrigerating unit.
WARNING: Protect the refrigeration circuit from damage!
• Put the connector plug directly into the plug-in socket (it is forbidden to connect the device by extension cables or
splitters!)
• Turn the main switch on Fig. 6/1 (p. 15), which will activate the thermostat followed by activation of the refrigeration unit
• Set the temperature on the thermostat panel Fig. 6/3 (p. 15) (details on p. 21 or 22)
• Turn the lighting switch on Fig. 6/2 (p. 15)
• In display cases equipped with humidistat (it does not refer to Carel therm.) the desired humidity inside the device
can be set using the control knob Fig. 7 (p. 16) . In the temperature range from 10˚C to 15˚C air humidity can be
controlled in the range from 30% to 80%.
