1. Remove screw (B) on right-hand side of blade
guard mounting plate , loosen screw (A) on the
left and swing blade guard up..

2. To lock the saw blade in position, depress the
lock knob and turn the saw blade with the other
hand until the lock engages.
Lock knob KS 210:
Lock knob KS 210 HM Plus:
3. Loosen arbor bolt with box wrench (left-hand
thread!).
4. Take outer blade collar, saw blade and inner
blade collar off the blade shaft.

5. Clean clamping surfaces of:
− saw spindle,
− saw blade,
− outer blade collar,
− inner blade collar.

Danger!
Do not use cleaning agents (e.g. to remove
resin residue) that could corrode the light
metal components of the saw; the stability of
the saw would be adversely affected.
6. Fit the inner blade collar –
observe direction of rotation: The chamfered
side must point towards the motor!
7. Fit a fresh saw blade –
observe direction of rotation: if viewed from the
left-hand (opened) side, the indicating arrow on
the saw blade must point in a clockwise direc-
tion!

Danger!
− Use only suitable saw blade (see „Techni-
cal specifications") – with unsuitable or
damaged blades parts can be hurled about
explosivelike by the centrifugal forces.
− Saw blades with 30 mm arbor bore are per-
mitted to be fitted to an 18°mm blade shaft
only with the reducer ring 30 x 18 x 1.2,
stock-no. 138 564 8797!

Danger!
− Fit saw blade only using genuine parts.
− Saw blades have to be fitted in such way
that they do not wobble or run out of bal-
ance, and can not work loose during oper-
ation.
Do not use:
− saw blades made of high speed steel
(HSS);
− saw blades with visible damage;
− cut-off wheel blades.
