Note:
To avoid germs from getting into your food, it is good advice to sterilize the container
and lid before filling in food. for this, you may use hot water (at least 80°c). However,
ensure that the container will tolerate the high temperature. after sterilization, do not
wipe the container but leave it dry naturally on a clean surface. When wiping with a
cloth, germs could get onto the surfaces of the container again.
1. ensure that the vacuum container and container lid are undamaged, airtight and
completely clean and dry.
2. fill your food into the vacuum container, leaving at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) of free
space between the food and the rim of the container. ensure keeping the rim of the
container and container lid clean and dry.
3. close the container with the container lid. ensure that the manually adjustable pres-
sure valve on the container lid is in the "open" position.
4. Place the appliance onto a suitable surface. insert one end of the vacuum hose into
the vacuum outlet of the appliance. Put the other end onto the port of the container
lid, pressing it down firmly to ensure a tight fit.
5. connect the appliance to the power supply. a cracking noise is heart. This is nor-
mal. keep the lid of the appliance closed.
6. Press the start/on button to switch on the appliance. The display is illuminated with
the default sealing time (seal Time) and evacuating time (Vac Time).
7. Press the function selection buttons, until the indicator arrow is pointing to mari-
naTe. The sealing time will be set to 0 automatically. in the Vac Time field, the
marinating time (30 minutes) is displayed.
Note:
With the marinaTe function, you cannot adjust the sealing time (seal Time) or
evacuating/marinating time (Vac Time). The appliance will operate, until the pre-
programmed marinating process is complete. Then the appliance will stop operation
automatically.
8. Press the start/on button to start operation. The appliance will run the pre-pro-
grammed marinating process automatically, counting down the marinating time (30
minutes), while evacuating and ventilating the container in cycles. at the end, the
vacuum container will be ventilated automatically and the appliance will stop ope-
ration.
warning:
During operation, the interior of the container is under low pressure
(vacuum). With even little damages at the walls of the container or on improper treat-
ment, evacuated containers may implode. always handle any evacuated containers with
