CAUTION:
The grilling plates are mounted by clamps in the rear part of the hou-
sing (see: 'Knowing Your ›Design BBQ Pro‹'). After releasing the grilling plates by the
plate release buttons, you can pull out the grilling plates without any resistance. Do
not apply any force when disassembling the grilling plates to avoid damage to the

5. Clean the grilling plates via warm dishwater. For the flat grilling plate, it is best
to use a soft cloth. Clean the fluted grilling plate with a soft nylon brush.

Pour fat and juices into a vessel that can be closed tightly. Then dispose the
vessel in domestic waste. Do not dispose fat and juices in the sink to avoid clogging
the outlet pipe.
6. Pull the drip tray out from under the base of the appliance. Doing so, ensure not
to spill the juices. Pour out fat and juices from the drip tray. Then clean the drip
tray in warm dishwater, using a soft cloth or nylon brush. The drip tray, cleaning
tool, and grilling plates may also be washed in an automatic dishwasher. For
this, place the drip tray and cleaning tool onto the upper rack.
IMPORTANT:
After cleaning the grilling plates via an automatic dishwasher, to
maintain best non-stick performance, before next use you should wipe the grilling
surfaces with some cooking oil again. However, there is no need to do so, when
cleaning the grilling plates manually.
