– eVC-26 universal filter
Protects against a multitude of aggressive substances, e.g. nitrogen
oxides, amines, aldehyde solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, oil va-
pours, fine dust particles.
– eVALC-1 alcohol filter
Protects against alcohols.
Note: Certain aggressive vapours may influence the measured result.
Exactly for that reason, the use of an appropriate protection filter is highly
recommended. A combination of 2 filters may also be used for overall
protection (eg. eVC-21 and eVALC-1).

Filter replacement
Chemical filters must be periodically replaced. Saturated filters falsify the
measuring results and the protective effect of chemical filters also deteri-
orates.
No generally valid guidelines can be given concerning the filter service life
as this mainly depends on the concentration of harmful substances and the
operating temperature.
Attention! A damaged filter must be replaced immediately (special alcohol
filter).
Switch off instrument.
Grasp old cell with the special tweezers (optional art. 1111218) and pull
out.
Carefully position new cell.
Cell orientation: Tab on cell against white dot.
Press cell home with tweezers.
Warning! Never press in with finger! This could damage cell filter!
Important! After the humidity measuring cell is replaced, the calibration
values of all the humidity reference points must be deleted according to
chapter 5.3.4. The instrument must then be calibrated with the new sensor
according to chapter 5.3.3.
Switch off instrument and disconnect from the mains.
Pull out mains cable.
Replace a defective fuse by one of the same type (see chapter 10
"Specifications").
Attention! The use of repaired fuses or short-circuiting of the fusehold-
er is not permitted.
