Renewal of Trimming Line
To avoid the risk of an unwanted
engine start, pull out the spark
plug socket. RISK OF INJURIES
- Pull off the line guard cap
from the line spool by forcefully
pressing between the retaining
plates (1).
- Remove the spool with line
remaining and the compression
spring (2).
- Remove the used up spool (3).
- Take the new line spool and pull
out 10 cm at both lines each.
- Now, place the line spool on the
tapered spring, and guide both
lines each through the round metal
lugs at the line spool housing (4).
- Then place the spool cover on the
new line spool (5). Turn it so that
the plates of the spool cover are
pushed with the springs in the line
spool housing.
- Now, press the spool cover
together with the line spool, until it
engages in the line spool housing.
The knife in the protective hood
shortens the trimming line to the
correct length, when the engine
starts again.
