Mounting:
Do not start the chainsaw until it has been fully assembled and
the chain tension has been adjusted.
Before you can start with the tree care, it is necessary to mount
the chain and the sword to the device. The chain (22) is very
sharp. Always wear protective gloves to protect yourself against
injury when pulling the chain (22).
1. Remove the chain wheel cover by undoing the fastening screw
on the cutter head (d) with the wrench (27).
2. Lay the saw chain in the guide groove which runs around the
cutter bar (23).
Pay attention to the correct cutting direction. On the sword unit
and indoor housing below the sprocket there are directional
arrows, which must correspond to the direction of the sword.
3. Note the alignment of the chain teeth. Insert the cutter bar
into the mount at the gear unit. Place the chain round the chain
wheel. Make sure that the teeth of the chain engage securely in
the chain wheel.
The cutter bar must be hooked into the chain tensioning bolt
(Item L).
Fit the chain wheel cover.
Important! Do not fully tighten the fastening
screw until after you have adjusted the chain tension
Now place the chain around the sprocket (e) and put the sword
unit on the tensioning bolt of the clamping slide (f ). Make sure
that the teeth of the chain engage securely in the sprocket.
If necessary, turn the screw of the tensioning device (g). A
uniform wear of the chain sword guarantees should after 8 - 10
working hours, the chain sword (23) are rotated.
Be careful to select the correct chain tension and check them
before each use of the device. A loose chain may come off from
the guide grooves of the sword unit and cause serious injury.
Furthermore, a loose chain increases the risk of kickback.
In addition, the chain and sprockets are worn out faster.
4. Fit the chain wheel cover.
Important! Do not fully tighten the fastening screw unit after you
have adjusted the chain tension.
