Troubleshooting
In case that the device is not working anymore you
can restart it with pressing the Reset key.
If you suspect a malfunction or an error on the tel-
ephone system the status LEDs display the first
clues for finding the possible cause.
The row of LEDs on the left show the operating
status of the individual subscriber interfaces.
Each individual LED means the following:
ISDN S
1
B1 or B2 channel assigned for incoming call or outgoing connection attempt
0
VoIP call:
VoIP
ON: Outgoing or incoming call
Registration:
On: Registered with all providers
Online
blinking: Registration partly unsuccessful
Off: No registration occurred
LAN
LAN connection active
blinking: start phase
Power
On: Adapter ready

Tips for error messages displayed during registration phase

Registration with an SIP provider can fail for many
reasons. Here you will find tips for locating errors
in certain situations.
Proxy not found.
– The VoIP adapter or DSL router is not con-
nected to the Internet.
– The entry for the standard gateway is missing or
incorrect.
– The entry for the name server (DNS) is missing
or incorrect.
– Your provider's proxy is spelled incorrectly.

Reset

All settings are still available after
restart.

Status LEDs

Registrar not found.
– The VoIP adapter or DSL router is not con-
nected to the Internet.
– The registration for the standard gateway is
missing or incorrect.
– The entry for the name server (DNS) is missing
or incorrect.
– Your provider's registrar is spelled incorrectly.
Error during registration process.
– The VoIP adapter or DSL router is not con-
nected to the Internet.
