MESSA A TERRA DEL GENERATORE
Il gruppo elettrogeno dispone di una messa a terra che
collega la struttura del telaio dell'apparecchio ai collega-
menti a terra nelle spine di corrente alternata. La messa
a terra non è collegata al cavo conduttore neutro di cor-
rente alternata. Se il gruppo elettrogeno viene testato
con un tester di fase, esso non presenta la stessa messa
a terra di un normale elettrodomestico.
Per proteggere da scosse elettriche accertarsi che il ge-
neratore sia messo a terra. Collegare con un filo spesso
il generatore e fonte di messa a terra esterna, ad es. un
tubo dell'acqua oppure un'asta di rame rispettivamente
inseriti a terra.
AVVISO: non utilizzare come messa a terra condotte in cui
passano sostanze infiammabili.
Avviare il motore (Fig. 10)
AVVERTENZA: non collegare l'apparecchio elettrico prima
di avviare il motore.
1 Ruotare il rubinetto del carburante (B) su ON.
In stato freddo:
Portare la leva dello starter (C) in posizione CLOSED.
In stato caldo:
Portare la leva di comando dello starter su OPEN
2. Portare l'interruttore del motore su ON.
3. Tirare lentamente lo starter d'inversione fino a quan-
do si avverte una resistenza. Quindi tirare con forza.
4. Riportare la leva dello starter in posizione OPEN
mentre il motore si scalda.
AVVISO: fare attenzione a non ferirsi le dita. Se il motore
non si avvia ed un pistone non è stato sollevato comple-
tamente, la maniglia di avviamento può colpire improvvi-
samente il motore. Evitare che la maniglia di avviamento
colpisca il motore. Accompagnarla indietro lentamente con
la mano in modo che la copertura non venga danneggiata.
Spegnere il motore
1 Spegnere il gruppo elettrogeno.
2 Portare l'interruttore del motore su off.
3 Portare il rubinetto del carburante su off.
In caso di emergenza, portare l'interruttore del motore su
off.

EARTHING THE GENERATOR

The power unit is equipped with an earth that connects
the frame structure of the unit to the earth connections
in the a.c. sockets. The earth is not connected to the a.c.
neutral cables. If the power unit is tested with a phasing
tester, it does not have the same ground loop as a normal
household appliance.
To protect against electric shock, ensure that the gene-
rator is earthed. Connect the generator and the external
earth source, e.g. a water pipe that is driven into the
earth or a copper pipe that is driven into the earth, with
a thick wire.
WARNING: Do not use any pipes that carry inflammable sub-
stances as an earth source.
Start the engine (fig. 10)
NOTE: Do not connect the electrical device before starting
the engine.
1 Turn the fuel valve (B) to 1.
When the engine is cold:
Turn the choke lever (C) to the CLOSED position.
When the engine is warm:
Turn the choke lever to OPEN

Turn the engine switch to the ON position.
3 Pull the recoil starter slowly until resistance is noti-
ceable. Then pull hard.
4 Return the choke lever to the OPEN position while
the engine warms up.
WARNING: Ensure that you do not injure your fingers. If the
motor does not start and a piston was not raised completely,
the starter grip may suddenly spring back to the engine. Avo-
id the starter grip springing back against the engine. Feed it
back slowly by hand to ensure that the cover is not damaged.
Shut the engine off
1 Switch the generator off
2 Set the engine switch to off
3 Turn the fuel valve to off
In an emergency, set the engine switch to off
