10. MEASURING MODE

Do not exceed the maximum permitted input values under any circumstanc-
es. Never touch circuits or parts of circuits when they may contain voltages
greater than 33 V/ACrms or 70 V/DC! Risk of fatal injury!
Before making measurements, check the connected measuring leads for
damage such as cuts, cracks or pinches. Defective measuring cables must
no longer be used! Risk of fatal injury!
During measuring, do not grip beyond the tactile grip range markings on the
test probes.
Only the two measuring leads required for measuring operation may be
connected to the meter at any time. Remove all unnecessary measuring leads
from the device for safety reasons.
Measurements in circuits >33 V/AC and >70 V/DC may be carried out only by
specialists and trained persons who are familiar with the pertinent regula-
tions and the resulting dangers.
During the insulation testing, dangerous voltages can be present at the probe
tips. A lightning symbol in the display warns of such a voltage. An insulation
test is permitted only on de-energized system components and devices.
As soon as „OL" (for overload) or ">" appears on the display, you have
exceeded the measuring range.
