j) Installing motor and motor cover

Install the motor (1) on the motor holder (2) using rubber rings (3). The motor
should be flush with the trailing edge of the wing. For harsh flight manoeuvres,
we recommend installing the motor with a drop of 5-minute epoxy glue on the
left and the right of the motor holder.
As the motor is also installed on the wing, the connection between the motor
and the speed controller in the fuselage must be separable.
Solder a 100-mm connecting cable with a plug of the used connector system to
the connecting wires of the motor. Solder the matching connector to the motor
output of the speed controller (see illustration 13, pos. 2).
Install the propeller shaft on the motor shaft and fix it using the grub screw (4).
Put the propeller onto the shaft and fix it using the nut (5). When installing the
propeller, make sure that the lettering showing the propeller size points to the
front towards the fuselage nose.
Connect the motor to the speed controller and switch on the remote control.
Carefully open the throttle to check the rotational direction of the motor. The
rotational direction is correct if an air jet towards the tail unit is generated. If the
rotational direction is not correct, swap the connecting wires on the motor.
Attach the motor cover (6) and mark the plug holes. Use a 3mm drill to drill the
holes and attach the cover. Install the motor connecting cable through the hole
in the wing towards the wing bottom.

k) Installing speed controller and receiver

Fix the speed controller (1) on the left side of the fuselage belly using double-
sided servo tape. The motor output with the suitable plug is installed to the
upper hole on the fuselage rear (2).
Once you have checked the function of the connected servos and the speed
controller, attach the receiver (3) with double-sided tape or servo tape on the
right side, as illustrated.
The aerial wire is installed to the rear to an opening in the bottom of the fuselage
(use a small drill).
We recommend fixing the aerial wire in a piece of Bowden tube in the fuselage.
