• Put on safety goggles.
• If necessary, protect your hands with suitable
gloves.
• Switch the extraction on.
• Start the motor (7) at the on/off switch for circular
table saw operation (3) by pressing the green button.
Wait until the saw blade (12) has reached its maxi-
mum speed.
• Press the workpiece firmly against the stop rail (39)
and guide it slowly past the saw blade (12) together
with the transverse stop (23) to make the cut.
• Ensure that your hands are far enough away from
the saw blade (12)
• Once the sawing process is complete, switch off the
motor (7) at the on/off switch for circular table saw
operation (3) by pressing the red button.
• Switch the extraction off.
10.3 Use as a cross-cut mitre saw
• Ensure that you have prepared the machine for use
as a cross-cut mitre saw, as described in the chapter
"Converting the machine".
• Take particular care to ensure that you have mount-
ed the parallel stop (1) over the upper saw blade
cover (37) such that the safety button (A) is pressed.
10.3.1 Adjusting the cutting depth (Fig. 6)
The cutting depth can be set in chopping mode by
screwing the screw (35) in or out.
• Loosen the locking nuts (36)
• Set the desired cutting depth by turning the screw
(35) to the left or right
• Tighten the locking nut (36) again.
10.3.2 Fine adjustment of the swivelling device
(Fig. 2, 12, 13, 15)
• Pull out the mains plug.
• Fix the cross-cut saw table (11) in the 0° position.
• Press the release button (2) and guide the cross-cut
unit downwards against the spring pressure.
• Loosen the locking lever of the swivelling device
(21). The locking lever (21) has serrations and a
spring. This allows you to change the position of the
handle without loosening the clamp. To do this, lift
the lever handle and turn it to the new position. Re-
lease the lever handle so that it can engage.
• Place a 90° engineers square (b, not included in the
scope of delivery) between the saw blade (12) and
44 | GB
the cross-cut saw table (11).
• Loosen the lock nut (41) and adjust the adjusting
screw (40) so that the angle between the saw blade
(12) and the cross-cut saw table (11) aligns with the
engineers square (b) at 90°.
• Re-tighten the counternut (41).
• Then check the position of the angle indicator (42).
If necessary, loosen the pointer (43) with a Phillips
screwdriver and set it to the 0° position
• Re-tighten the retaining screw.
• Check the result by tilting the saw unit to the 45°
mark and applying a 135° engineers square (d, not
included in the scope of delivery).
10.3.3 Cross-cut and mitre cuts (Fig. 11, 14)
Attention! The sliding fitting of the transverse stop
(53) must be fixed in the far left position for 90° mi-
tre cuts.
• Loosen the locking screw for the sliding fitting (53)
(Fig. 1) with an Allen key and align the sliding fitting
(53) to the far left. The distance to the saw blade (12)
must be at least 8 mm.
• Before making the cut, check that no collision could
occur between the sliding fitting (53) and the saw
blade (12).
• Retighten the set screw for the sliding fitting (53).
• Make sure that the angle scale for tilt cutting (42) is
set to "0°" if you want to perform a cross-cut (0°) or
mitre cut (-50° to +60°).
• Release the locking knob of the mitre saw table (13).
• Turn the mitre saw table (11) to the desired position.
Read the cutting angle on the pointer (55) and on the
angle scale for mitre cuts (10). You can adjust the
cross-cut saw table (11) from -50° to the left to +60°
to the right. The cross-cut saw table (11) has stops at
0°, 15°, 22.5°, 30°, 45° and 60° and engages easily,
making adjustment easier.
ATTENTION! To prevent the angle from changing
during sawing, the locking knob (13) must be tight-
ened, even if the mitre saw unit has latched into
one of the stops provided.
• Tighten the locking knob of the mitre saw table (13)
again.
• Place the workpiece on the stop rail (8).
• Clamp the workpiece to the saw table using the
clamping screw (16c).
• Press the release button (2) and simultaneously
