observed.
• Always connect the dust extraction system before
starting work.
• Operation in enclosed areas is only permitted with a
suitable chip extraction system.
• Do not use low-output machines for heavy work.
• Do not use the cable for purposes for which it is not
intended!
• Make sure that you have secure footing and always
maintain your balance.
• Check the power tool for potential damage!
• Protective devices or other parts with minor damage
must be carefully inspected to ensure that they func-
tion correctly and as intended prior to continued use
of the tool.
• Check whether the moving parts function faultlessly
and do not jam or whether parts are damaged. All
parts must be correctly mounted and all conditions
must be fulfilled to ensure fault-free operation of the
tool.
• Damaged protective devices and parts must be
repaired properly or replaced by a recognised spe-
cialist workshop unless otherwise specified in the
usage instructions.
• Have damaged switches replaced by a customer
service workshop.
• This tool conforms to the applicable safety regula-
tions. Repairs may only be performed by an elec-
trician using original spare parts. Otherwise, acci-
dents can occur.
• Replace the worn table insert.
• Do not use saw blades made of high speed steel.
• Ensure that the device for swivelling the arm is se-
curely fastened when mitre sawing.
• Exercise caution when working vertically.
• ATTENTION! Exercise elevated caution for double
mitre cuts!
• Do not overload your tool.
• Wear safety goggles.
• Wear a mask when carrying out dust-creating work.
• Check the tool cable / extension cable for damage.
• Wear gloves when handling saw bands.
5.5
Safety instructions for operation as a circu-
lar table saw
5.5.1 Safe operation
• Use a push stick or the handle with wooden push
block in order to guide the workpiece safely past the
saw blade.
• Use and correctly set the riving knife.
• Use and correctly set the upper saw blade guard.
• Circular saws must not be used for slotting (groove
ends in the workpiece).
• Only use saw blades whose maximum permissible
speed is not less than the maximum spindle speed
of the circular table saw and the material to be cut.
• When transporting the machine, use only the trans-
port devices and never use the guards for handling
or transport.
• The upper part of the saw blade should be covered
during transport, for example by the protective de-
vice.
• Secure larger workpieces against tipping after the
cutting process (e.g. reel-off stand).
5.5.2 Additional notes
Pass the safety instructions on to all persons who work
on the machine.
• Never use the saw to cut firewood.
• Refrain from cross-cutting round timber.
m
CAUTION
• There is a danger of injury to hands and fingers from
the rotating saw blade.
• The machine is equipped with a safety switch
against reactivation if the voltage drops.
• Before commissioning, check that the voltage on the
product type plate corresponds to the mains voltage.
• If an extension cable is required, make sure that its
cross-section is sufficient for the current consump-
tion of the saw. Minimum cross-section 1.5 mm
• Only use cable reels in the unrolled state.
• Check the mains connection cable. Never use any
faulty or damaged connection cables.
• The operating personnel must be at least 18 years
of age.
• Keep the workplace free of wood debris and parts
lying around.
• Personnel working on the machine must not be dis-
tracted.
• Observe the direction of rotation of the engine and
saw blade.
• Under no circumstances should the saw blades be
braked by pushing against the side after switching
off the drive.
• Only install saw blades that are well sharpened, free
of cracks and not deformed.
• Safety equipment on the machine must not be disas-
sembled or made unusable.
• Faulty saw blades must be replaced immediately.
