WARNING
Adjust the protective cover so that flying sparks or de-
tached parts cannot hit the user or bystanders.
The position of the protective cover must also be such
that the flying sparks do not ignite flammable parts, in-
cluding surrounding parts
Note:
The protective cover (4) is pre-fitted.
Required tool:
• Allen key, 4 mm (6)
• Phillips screwdriver*

Protective cover (4) for grinding
(Fig. 3)
Remove the cutting disc (5c) as described under 8.2.
Assembling:
1. Place the protective cover (4) onto the drive spindle
(5a) and secure it using the cover and the screws.
Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Removing:
1. Loosen the screws and remove the cover. Use a Phil-
lips screwdriver.
2. Remove the protective cover (4) from the drive spindle
(5a).

ATTENTION
Always use the protective cover when cutting.
Assembling:
1. Slide the cutting guard (4a) onto the protective cover
(4). Ensure that the cutting guard (4a) locks into place
correctly.
Removing:
1. Turn the cutting guard (4a) until it protrudes from the
protective cover (4), then remove it.

1. Turn the protective cover (4) over the locking tabs into
the required working position.

1. Rotate the protective cover (4a) into the required
working position.
8.2
Fitting/replacing the cutting disc
(5c) (Fig. 4)
ATTENTION
Always wear protective gloves when changing the
grinding/cutting wheel.
– Observe the dimensions of the cutting/grinding
discs.
– The hole diameter must fit the mounting flange with-
out any play.
– Do not use reducers or adapters.
Note:
Always use dirt-free discs.
WARNING
Danger of injury!
Only press the spindle locking button when the recepta-
cle spindle is stationary.
1. Push the spindle locking button (5) to block the gear.
2. Loosen the clamping screw and washer (5b) with a 4
mm Allen key (6).
3. Place the cutting disc (5c) onto the receptacle flange
(5a) with the labelled side facing the product.
4. Secure the cutting disc (5c) using the clamping screw
and washer (5b). Use a 4 mm Allen key (6).

Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (3a) into the battery mount (3). The
battery (3a) clicks into place audibly.
Removing the battery
1. Press the unlock button (3b) on the battery (3a) and
remove it from the battery mount (3).

Operation
WARNING
Danger of injury!
Remove the battery from the power tool before carrying
out any work on the power tool (e.g. maintenance, tool
change, etc.) and when transporting and storing it.
There is a risk of injury if the on/off switch is operated
unintentionally.
ATTENTION
Make sure that the ambient temperature does not ex-
ceed 50°C and does not fall below -20°C during work.

Checking the battery charge status
(Fig. 5, 6)
The battery charge level (2b) indicates the charge level of
the battery (3a).
The charge level of the battery (3a) is indicated by the
corresponding LED light lighting up.
