energy consumption for charging processes in order to obtain reliable results for payments and other
applications.
The meter display is visible on the front of the charging station and shows information such as total energy
(kWh) and current power (kW).
Note: MID meters must be recalibrated regularly by a state-approved testing centre. In Germany,
this is required 8 years after the meter is placed on the market, which is indicated by the metrology
marking on the meter next to the CE marking. For example, "M25" stands for the year 2025.
6.2. Charging your vehicle
Note: The vehicle to be charged must be parked, switched off and the parking brake applied.
1.
Remove the Type 2 plug from the charging plug holder and connect it to the vehicle's charging port.
Please ensure that the vehicle is prepared for charging. If you have purchased the charging station as a
socket variant, first connect your Type 2 charging cable to the Type 2 socket on the charging station
and then to your vehicle's charging port.
2.
The charging process can be started and stopped by placing a preconfigured RFID card on the RFID
card reader.
3.
Once charging is complete, remove the Type 2 plug from the vehicle's charging port. Plug the Type 2
connector into the charging plug holder. If you have purchased the charging station as a socket version,
remove the Type 2 cable from the charging station and replace the protective cap on the Type 2 cable.
If you cannot pull the plug out of the vehicle, press the vehicle's release button.
6.3. Communication
The charging station has the following communication interfaces: Wi-Fi, Ethernet, RS-485, BLE and 4G. A
connection to an OCPP backend can be established via the Wi-Fi, Ethernet or 4G interface. It is also possible
to control the charging station via ModBus TCP.
6.3.1. Configuration via web interface
The charging station has an integrated web interface that can be used to set various parameters. The web
interface can be accessed via the Ethernet connection. The charging station has the default IP address
192.168.1.10.
1.
Connect an Ethernet cable to the charging station and a computer (see section 5.1.4).
