1.
To use local load management, connect up to 16 charging stations to each other with RS485 cable
connections, as shown in section 5.1.7.
2.
Identify one charging station as the master and open its web interface as shown in section 6.3.1.
3.
Enter the maximum available current for all charging stations together in the web interface or the CP
tool. For example, if you have 63 amps available for 5 charging stations, enter the value "63" in the
corresponding field. The available current is then distributed among the charging stations. If all 5
charging stations are charging at the same time, the current is set to 12 amps for all five stations.
4.
Enter the ID of the station. The master station always has the ID 0. The other (slave) charging stations
are assigned the IDs 1 to 15.

6.3.4. Connection to an OCPP backend

The charging station supports OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) JSON 1.6 for communication between
charging stations and a central management system (backend). Before OCPP can be used, the endpoint URL
must be programmed into the charging station. To do this, please enter the endpoint URL (beginning with
ws:// or wss://) in the corresponding field in the web interface or the CP-Tool app. If you need help configuring
your charging station, please send us an email at ocpp@em2go.de.
Note: The charging stations are connected to the EM2GO backend for maintenance purposes when
delivered. for maintenance purposes.

6.3.5. ModBus TCP

The charging station supports the ModBus TCP communication protocol and acts as a slave (server) in the
network. To connect the charging station via ModBus TCP, a master (client) application must be used.
