Mains connection
The control is wired in a ready-to-connect fashion using a 16  A
CARA plug and a cable with an approximate length of 1  m as
shown in the illustration. Connect the control via an all-pole line
disconnecter  ≥  10  A complying with the specifications of
EN 12453 to the house wiring system. In doing this, ensure that
the line disconnecter is easily accessible after the installation.
Checking the mains connection
NOTICE
Ensure that on-site fusing of 10  A is avail-
able.
Check whether the mains connection on
site complies with the pre-wired mains con-
nection of the control.
If the mains connection shows any devi-
ations, the control must be rewired.
For on-site fusing, only use all-current sens-
itive residual current circuit breakers of
type B.

Motor connection line
EMC measures
NOTICE
Carry out all EMC measures (ferrite rings, earth-
ing and shielding) according to the diagram.
The motor connection line is pre-assembled for the motor and the
digital limit switch  DES. The connection is implemented by fixed
cable routing of the motor connection line and using correspond-
ing connectors. A digital limit switch complying with PL  c as per
EN 13849-1 must be used.

Spring fracture safety device / roll-down locking mech-
anism. To provide for protection from being drawn in, a roll-up
protection mechanism with an evaluation unit can be connected
to the safety circuit J4.3/4 with fixed cable routing. The evaluation
unit must comply with PLc Kat3 as per EN13849-1.

Protect the control against restart by spring
NOTICE
fracture or roll-down safety switches
If a spring fracture safety device is tripped, the
control must be protected against restart by
spring fracture or roll-down safety switches. The
switches must be used as normally closed con-
tact subject to forced actuation complying with
EN 60947-5-1, Annex K. With fixed cable routing,
the switches are connected to the terminal board
of the DES.

External control devices
If you connect external control devices to terminal J1 of the con-
trol, the following variants are provided:

Timer inputs
If you want to connect control devices in AR operation to ter-
minal  J8 of the control, the following options for connection are
provided:

When the open time set in menu item  44 has elapsed, the door
closes automatically. You can select a reduced open time by
means of the photoelectric sensor in menu item 38. In order to re-
duce the open time, a photoelectric sensor or a light grid is re-
quired at terminal J2.

closing door
If the closing speed exceeds 50 cm/s, the move-
ment area on both sides of the door needs be
monitored over the entire door width and to a
depth of 90 cm.
The connection diagram depicts the approach area monitoring by
means of a motion and presence sensor by Condor.
10. Door connection box
a
Fig.
The door connection box allows for the connection of a
safety edge, a wicket door contact and slack rope switches. The
wicket door contact and the slack rope switches are electrically
connected in series and are monitored by the control. If a wicket
door is available, the wicket door contact (Entrysense 6k8 model)
is connected to the door connection box. For this purpose, re-
move the 2 kOhm resistor from the door connection box, to which
the Entrysense is clamped, and connect it there. The Entrysense
is tested in compliance with PL c as per EN 13849-1 and is mon-
itored by the door control.
As slack rope switches, switches with forced actuation complying
with the specifications of EN 60947-5-1, Annex K are to be used.
The supply line of the door connection box is to be laid at the
door leaf, well protected against damage. With pulsed operation,
connect a closing edge safety device and select the correspond-
ing setting in menu item  35. Pressing the Prog button
menu item 35 for a longer time displays the measured resistance
value of the 8k2 closing edge. Example: Value  82 means 8k2.
