Mulching
In the mulching mode, the grass clippings are
recirculated in the airstream in the cutting blade
range, recut several times and then blown back
26
onto the lawn. The cuttings remain on the lawn
surface where they decompose quickly and
serve as a natural fertilizer. To maintain a beauti‐
ful, thick lawn, mulch regularly and remove one
third of the grass height.
Prerequisites for good mulching results:
– Frequency: At least twice a week in the spring
(main period of growth) and once a week in
the summer and fall.
– If possible, mow the lawn when it is dry.
– Use well sharpened cutting blades.
– Select a low mowing speed.
– Vary the mowing direction and make sure to
overlap the mowing strips.
– Mow very high grass multiple times.
► Push the lawn mower forward slowly and in a
controlled manner.
