7.12 Checking the safety devices
After assembly, carefully check the various safety devices installed on the bridge.
a. Siren and micro drive siren
When descending (2), the lift must stop at a height of approx. 12-15 cm from the ground.
The lift continues to descend and the siren is activated to warn the operator that the platforms are at a dangerous height
(see also the lift operating instructions in chap. CHAP. 8).
If this does not occur, adjust the FC2 micro with the screws of support (3).
b. Pressure switch functional test
To make sure the pressure switch functions correctly, place an object underneath platform P2 that is capable of supporting
its weight. If everything is working correctly, the lift will stop. At this point, before lowering the lift any further (2), it must
first be raised (1) (the only operation permitted) so the object can be removed (2).
c. Check the operation of the FC1 microswitch
To make sure the FC1 functions correctly, place an object underneath platform P1 that is capable of supporting its
weight. If everything is working correctly, the lift will stop. At this point, before lowering the lift any further (2), it must
first be raised (1) (the only operation permitted) so the object can be removed (2).
d. Manned controls
The lift is fitted with a "manned" operating system, so that the ascent and descent movements are interrupted immediately
if the operator releases the respective buttons (1 and 2).
