Installation
6.1 General
The brine-to-water heat pump must be installed in a frost-free,
dry room on an even, smooth and horizontal surface. The entire
frame should lie directly on the floor to ensure an adequate
soundproof seal. Failing this, additional sound insulation meas-
ures may become necessary.
The heat pump must be installed so that maintenance work can
be carried out without hindrance. This is ensured when observing
the distances to solid walls as shown in the figure.

Neither frost nor temperatures higher than 35 °C must occur in
the installation location at any time of the year.
6.2 Sound Emissions
The heat pump offers silent operation due to efficient sound insu-
lation. Any vibration transmission to the foundation or the heating
system can be largely prevented by internal sound decoupling
measures.

Assembly
7.1 General
The following connections need to be established on the heat
pump:
Flow and return of the brine (heat source system)
Assembly of the 4-way mixer valve Y12
with the double nipples (2
½") provided, all connections on
the heat pump can also be used as external thread seal-
ing
Flow/return heating to the 4-way mixer valve
Power supply
Temperature sensor

7.2 Assembling the 4-way mixer
valve
2
Fig. 7.1:
The 4-way mixer valve preassembled with the actuator is fixed
on a transport plate (1) inside the unit with its threaded flanges
(see Fig. 7.1 on page 6). After dismantling the 4-way mixer valve
from the device compartment, the transport plate (1) must be re-
moved. The threaded flanges of the 4-way mixer valve must be
loosened. The two preassembled pipe assemblies (2) on the
baseplate of the heat pump must be connected with the threaded
flanges as shown below.
Fig. 7.2:
The clearances shown in Fig. 7.2 on page 6 must be achieved
with the sealing process between the double nipple and threaded
flange on the heat pump on the one hand, and between the
"heating water flow" pipe assembly and threaded flange on the
other. When the required installation position is achieved, the
flanges with the accompanying seals must be connected with the
4-way mixer valve using screws, washers and spring washers.
