4.4 Assembling the door frame
Please refer to the picture section of the assembly in-
structions, meanwhile, follow the illustrations as
shown in the instructions.
4.4.1 Preassembling the door frame
Place wood or similar underneath the angle
frames (1L/1R) to
scratches.
Fig. a , page A3. Connect the angle frame (1L/1R)
with the frame panel (3) by screwing them together
with the metal screws (pre-assembled).
VL Fig. b Mount the sole plates (8L/8R) to the angle
frames (1L/1R) by screwing them together with the
screws (S11).
4.4.2 Mounting the wall anchors
Prior to mounting the wall anchors (7), check the
width stop and the place for the plugs on the ma-
sonry.
Depending on the stop width and the mounting condi-
tion, mount the wall anchors (7) by means of the
screws (S6 + S12) as follows:

Place the wall anchors (7) on the outside of the angle
frame.
Fig. b The width stop's range is between 80 mm and
119 mm. Place the wall anchors (7) on the inside of
the angle frame.
Also observe the following:
Fig. c For mounting the horizontal rail pairs later on,
it is required to pre-assemble the connection
screw (S5). To do so, insert the screw (S5) through
the addendum angle of the frame (1L/1R) and secure
the screw from falling out by lightly screwing on the
nut (S12).
4.4.3 Mounting the plugs for the door frame
Fig. a , page A4. Set up the door frame and place
it behind the driveway opening.
Secure the door frame against toppling over and pre-
cisely align it angular and in parallel by using the
spirit level.
Fig. b Mount the shutter holder (13) by clipping it on
the centre of the shutter (3).
From BRB = 3530 mm, 2 shutter holders are included
in the scope of delivery. Mount them at regular dis-
tances.
Fig. c Pre-drill the holes for the plugs (Ø=10 mm)
with a depth of at least 65 mm (approx.). For this pur-
pose, it is best to use a rock drill with a length of
200 mm.

plates (8L/8R), the shutter holder (13) and all angle
frames with the screws (S8) and the respective dow-
els (S9).
Fig. g For anchoring the frame to the ground, use
the screw (S8) in combination with the plug (S9) and

Fig. h Insert the screw (S6) into the lowest hole of
the angle frame (1L/1R) and fasten with the screw
nut (S12).
NOTICE Do not twist the angle frames (1R)
and (1L)!
When tightening the angle frames,
make sure not to twist or warp them. If
required, shim the angle frames with
suitable material. Hooks to place under-
neath which are suited for this purpose
can be purchased from Novoferm.
4.4.4 Preassembling the horizontal rail pairs
Fig. a , page A6. Connect the horizontal rail
pair (14L/14R) to the tail end (16L/16R) by using the
screw (S17).
Fig. b Mount one connecting plate (18) to each rail
pair (14L/14R). Use the screws (S17) for the two
screw holes in the upper rail and the screws (S12 and
S17) for the screw holes in the lower rail.
4.4.5 Mounting the horizontal rail pairs to the
frame
Fig. a and Fig. b
pair (14L/14R) together with the screw that has
already been premounted on the angle frame (1L/1R)
by loosely screwing the rail pair to the tail end
(16L/16R) with the screw nut (S12). It should still be
possible to fold up the system later on.
Fig. c Fold up the horizontal rail pairs (14L/14R) and
secure them against folding back.
Fig. d , page A7. Mount the rail arches (30) by
screwing them to the angle frames and to the con-
necting plates (18) by means of the screws
(S17 + S12).
NOTICE Potential obstruction at the transition
to the rails.
Make sure there is no offset in the
transition between the guide rails. If ne-
cessary, slightly adjust the arch ends.
