in fig.1, preferably at points that react painfully to
pressure. As a preventative measure, regular treatment
of the shoulder-neck area may be helpful. The electrode
application for this is illustrated in fig. 2.
Migraine
Programme 2
The migraine is a headache form usually occurring on
one side, often accompanied by nausea, sensitivity to
light and other symptoms. Clear points of pain of-
ten occur, such as in the region of the eyes or on the
temples. During stimulation one electrode is applied
directly onto the point of pain, above the eyebrow for
pain in the vicinity of the eye. The second electrode can
be placed on a second pain point or attached to the
cervical vertebrae muscle on the same side (see fig. 3).

Pain in the cervical vertebrae

Channel 2
Programme 5, 7
Pain in the cervical vertebrae is often accompanied by
limited mobility of the head and tense muscles. The
pain tends to radiate from the shoulder area. During
treatment with the PierenPlus basic the electrodes are
attached to the cervical vertebrae musculature (see
fig. 4). If the entire cervical vertebrae are inflamed
or if pain radiates from both shoulders, then the two
channels of the PierenPlus basic can be used to treat
simultaneously, as illustrated in fig. 4 and 5.
