Pilotlamps,

Temperature
Fig. O
The temperature
indicator, which is indepen-
dent from electrical current, shows the tem-
perature of the stored frozen products.
A temperature reading lower than —180C
indicates an inadequate storage temperatu-
re. A certain discrepancy between the
indicated temperature and the actual tempe-
rature inside the appliance may be registe-
red whenever fresh products are put in to
freeze, or if the door of the appliance is kept
open for too long. This fact must be taken
into consideration
whenever taking compara-
tive temperature
readings. If the temperature
indicator displays readings inferior to —1 80 C
for a long period of time, it is possible that
the food may begin to defrost; check to see
whether the products are still thoroughly
frozen.
You may refreeze products that have partial-
ly or totally thawed out provided that:
—in the case of fish and meat, these were
not kept for longer than a day at a
temperature
of 30 C.
. —in the case of other frozen products,
these were not kept for longer than 3 days
at a temperture of 30 C.
Otherwise, check products for appearance,
colour and smell; if these have remained
unaltered, boil, fry, roast or cook to some
kind •of ready-meal and refreeze.
Observe
that the maximum
storage life in this case is shorter than
average.

Electrical power supply
The apphanqe must be connected to a
220-240 V AC (50 Hz) supply only, via a
properly instatEedsocket with a non-fused
earthing contact and a 13 Ampere fuse.
Switching on the appliance
Press main switch (2)
Green and red pilot lights come on,
warning buzzer* sounds.
Switch off the warning buzzer*
by pressing the temperature warning
buzzer switch (4).
Setting the temperature
Adjust temperature selector (1) to a
number. High figures give low tempe-
ratures.
We recommend a mid-setting. However,
the temperature
selector
be set so that, after a long period of
operation,
the temperature
(Fig. 0/13) shows at least —180 C.
So that the warning buzzer can sound if
a fault occurs, the temperature
buzzer switch (4) must be pressed
again after the red pilot light has gone
out.
Note
If you have closed the lid of the freezer, and
then cannot open it again immediately, it is
due•to the partial vacuum which has develo-
ped inside. Please wait for two or three
minutes until it has equalized.
