Freezing and storing
Super freeze
if there is frozen food atready stored in the
freezer, switch on the super-freeze
of hours before putting in fresh products to
freeze.
In general it is sufficient to switch it on
4-6 hours in advance. If the entire freezing
capacity is required, it will be necessary
to switch on the super-freeze 24 hours in
advance.
Smaller amounts of food (up to 2 kg) may'
be frozen without switching on the super-
freeze.
To turn-on the super-freeze, simply press
the super-freeze switch Fig. 0/3.
The yellow control Fampgoes on to indicate
that the super-freeze is in operation.
The refrigerating machine now works
continuously and the temperature
appliance is lower.
After depositing the fresh goods inside the
freezer, the super-freeze
off. From this point on the appliance controls
the freezing process automatically; i.e. it will
switch back to normal operation at the
appropriate moment to ensure safe storage
of products at the lowest possible rate of
energy consumption,
When the temperature indicator Fig. 0/13
displays a temperature
-180 C, the freezing process may be
considered as accomplished.
Storing food
After freezing, do not remove the artificial
ice blocks from the top compartment.
should be left on top of the products at all
times.
If a large quantity of food needs be
accomodated,

the appliance and food may be stacked
directly onto the freezing trays.

Storage life
To avoid quality loss, it is important not to be
exceed the admissible storage life assigned
to each product. The length of admissible
storage varies from product to product. Fish,
cold slices, ready-cooked
pastries will keep out to 6.months at a
temperature of —180C. At the same degree
of temperature you may keep meat, poultry,
and cheese for up to 8 months and fruit and
vegetables for up to 12 months.
Artificial
ice blocks*
Fig.0/14
The artificial ice blocks serve to delay the
warming-up
process of frozen products in
the event of a power cut or technical failure.
For transport safety reasons they are placed
on the lower freezing bin at the factory.
The most efficient way of preventing food
from warming-up and of ensuring the lowest
possible rate of energy consumption, is to
place them in the upper bin, directly on top
of the frozen products.
