In order to prevent damage and
hazards resulting from improper
use , you must observe the user
manual and store it in a safe place!
Wear suitable work clothing such
as sturdy shoes, safety goggles,
long trousers and, if necessary,
gloves during cleaning. Do not
work barefoot or in light sandals.
If the device is passed on to other
persons, they must also be given
the user manual!
Only use GLORIA original spares and
accessories for the device. Never use
worn, modified or defective replace-
ment parts / accessories!
2.2 Safety instructions for
connecting the device
WARNING! Danger of
electric shock!
Contact with energised cables/wires or
components may result in serious injury
or death! You should therefore observe
the following safety instructions:
If the power cable is damaged, it
must only be replaced by a repair
shop designated by the manufac-
turer in order to prevent a hazard !
Please contact the manufacturer or
the customer service department.
Ensure that the supply voltage cor-
responds with the voltage (V) of
the device !
Only connect the device to an AC
grounded power outlet.
When using an extension lead,
only use a grounded cable for out-
door use with a conductor cross-
section of at least 1.5 mm
Additional protection can be achieved
by installing a residual current device
(RCD) with a rated residual operating
current not exceeding 30 mA in the
domestic installation. Ask your electri-
cal installer!
The mains plug must be removed:
- In the event of faults during opera-
tion
- Prior to any cleaning
- After use
2.3 Safety instructions for
operating the device
If the energised device comes
into contact with water, there is
a risk of serious injury or death!
You should therefore observe
the following safety instructions:
Do not use the device with wet
hands.
Do not immerse the device in
water or spray or clean it with
water. The device must be protect-
ed against moisture. However, if
the device does fall into water,
immediately unplug the mains
plug. Never reach into the water if
the device is still connected!
NEVER drive over the extension
cable with the device!
Parts of the device can become hot
during use and may cause burns. It is
therefore important to observe the
following safety instructions:
Wear safety gloves whilst opera-
ting the device!
Observe the following safety pre-
cautions to prevent injuries
and material damage due to misuse
and unsafe handling of the product.
Misuse can result in INJURIES.

Use the device as intended! Work
only within the specified perfor-
mance range.
Before each use, make sure that
the device is in perfect condition;
operation is prohibited if:
– the safety devices (start switch,
protective covers) and/or brushes
are damaged or worn.
