Fan unit ELS NFC..
― The electrical connection is carried out at the connection terminals in the
casing. The corresponding wiring diagram for the respective fan type and
casing must be observed.
― A control unit parallel to the light switch is recommended in rooms without
windows.
m The electrical connection must be fully isolated from the mains power
supply until final assembly!
The ELS NFC.. fan is a device with protection class II without a protective
conductor.
If a residual current circuit breaker is used, there is no restriction on type selecti-
on from the perspective of the ELS EC fan.
The selection depends on other operating equipment with a protective con-
ductor, which are provided for in the same installation.
6.2 Installation of fan unit
m Danger to life due to electric shock!
If the sensor (types ELS NFC, F, P, VOC, CO2) is not installed in the inner
facade, contact can be made with the live motor in the event of a fault,
which could lead to an electric shock if touched.
Before dismantling/installation, isolate the unit from the mains power sup-
ply and protect against being switching on again!
m Danger to life due to electric shock!
If the control compartment cover is missing, contact can be made with
the live circuit board, which could lead to an electric shock if touched.

supply and protect against being switching on again!
The fan unit may only be installed with the control compartment cover
fitted.
m Risk of injury due to rotating parts and impeller!
The impeller is exposed during disassembly/assembly. Before dismant-
ling/installation, isolate the unit from the mains power supply and pro-
tect against being switching on again! Rotating parts must first come to a
standstill. For types ELS NFC, F, P, VOC, CO2 the sensor must be fitted;
otherwise access to the impeller is possible.
> Wear protective gloves.
Remove the delivery unit from the packaging directly before installation to
prevent any possible damage and contamination during shipping and on the
construction site. If the flush/surface mounted casing is distorted or dented by
improper installation or should the fan unit fall to the ground or be damaged
in another way, installation must be avoided since faultless functionality is no
longer guaranteed. The installation and commissioning of the fan unit must
only take place after the completion of all other trade work and after the final
cleaning to prevent damage and contamination of the fan unit.
