Commissioning without a filter is not permitted, as otherwise the unit and
entire duct system will be contaminated. The functionality of the fire dam-
per may be affected by contamination.
Non-observance will result in a loss of warranty.
All of the following information and instructions are intended for an authorised
electrician only !
m Danger to life due to electric shock!
All work in the unit may only be carried out by qualified personnel in accor-
dance with chapter „2.1 Personnel qualification" on page 6.
m Risk of injury due to sharp edges!
When connecting to a mono tube system, you can cut yourself on the
pipe. When installing the fan unit, you may cut yourself on the impeller.
> Wear protective gloves.
m Risk of injury due to crushing/collision!
Fan unit can fall down and crush or collide with people!
> Check theinstallation area for sufficient strength and use suitable fastening
materials.
> Installation may only be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance
with chapter „2.1 Personnel qualification" on page 6.
> Wear personal protective equipment.
6.1 Electrical connection
m The safety instructions specified in section 1.3 must be observed!
― The relevant standards, safety regulations (e.g. DIN VDE 0100) and the
technical connection regulations of the energy supply companies must be
observed!
― An all-pole mains switch/isolator, with at least a 3 mm contact opening
(VDE 0700 T1 7.12.2 / EN 60335-1) is mandatory!
― The network configuration, voltage and frequency must be consistent with
the information on the type plate.
― The power cable must be introduced so that, in case of water exposure,
water entry along the power-supply cable is impossible. The cable must
never be placed over sharp edges.
― The units are protection type IPX5 (jet water-proof ) and correspond to pro-
tection class II.
