Fitting the guide bar (2) (Fig. 2)
1. Place the rubber ring (9b) onto the tubular shaft (4).
2. Position the guide bar (2) over the guide bar holder (9)
from above onto the rubber ring (9b).
3. Attach the retaining clip (9c) to the guide bar holder
(9) from below using the four Allen screws (9d).
Use a 5 mm Allen key (15).

Fitting the protective covers
(11/11a) (Fig. 3)
1. Attach the two protective covers (11/11a) to the holder
provided on the front tubular shaft (10).
2. Fasten the two protective covers (11/11a) with the two
Allen screws (11b).
Use a 5 mm Allen key (15).
8.3
Assembling/removing the coil
capsule (12) (Fig. 4)
1. Hold the flange (10b) using a 5 mm Allen key (15).
2. Remove the M10 nut (13d) and the cover (13c) from
the mounting spindle (10c). Attention - Left-handed
thread! Use the installation spanner (16).
3. The M10 nut (13d) and the cover (13c) are not re-
quired for installation of the coil capsule (12).
The flange (10b) and the spring washer (13b) remain
on the mounting spindle (10c).
4. Hold the flange (10b) using a 5 mm Allen key (15).
5. Turn the coil capsule (12) anti-clockwise onto the
mounting spindle (10c) and fasten the coil capsule
(12) to the mounting spindle (10c) hand-tight.
6. Removal of the coil capsule (12) takes place in re-
verse order.
Note that the direction of rotation of the coil capsule (12)
must match with the direction of the arrow on the protec-
tive cover (11).
8.4
Assembling/removing the cutting
blade (13) (Fig. 5)
1. Remove the M10 nut (13d), the cover (13c) and the
spring washer (13b) from the mounting spindle (10c).
Attention - Left-handed thread!
Use an installation spanner (16).
2. The flange (10b) remains on the mounting spindle
(10c).
3. Place the cutting blade (13) on the flange (10b).
Note that the direction of rotation of the cutting blade
(13) must match with the direction of the arrow on the
shield (11).
4. Then push the spring washer (13b) and the cover
(13c) onto the mounting spindle (10c).
5. Fasten the cutting blade (13) with the M10 nut (13d).
6. Tighten the M10 nut (13d) with the installation span-
ner (16). To do this, hold the flange (10b) using a 5
mm Allen key (15).
7. Remove the transport guard (13a) from the cutting
blade (13).
8. Removal of the cutting blade (13) takes place in re-
verse order.

Mounting the front tubular shaft
(10) (Fig. 6)
ATTENTION
Never operate the product without an insert tool!
1. Remove the protective cap (10a) from the front tubular
shaft (10) and the tubular shaft (4).
2. Loosen the wing nut (8).
3. Pull the locking pin (7) outwards and turn it to the right
or left as far as it will go, then release it.
It will lock in the outer position.
4. Fit the front tubular shaft (10) to the tubular shaft (4).
5. Turn the front tubular shaft (10) with slight rotary
movements until the front tubular shaft (10) is seated
in the tubular shaft (4) up to the end stop.
6. Return the locking pin (7) to its initial position.
The locking pin (7) engages audibly.
7. Secure the front tubular shaft (10) with the wing nut
(8).

Before commissioning
9.1
Hooking in the carrying strap (14)
(Fig. 7)
Notes:
The product may only be used with the carrying strap.
First, balance the product when the tool is switched off.
1. Put on the carrying strap (14).
2. Adjust the length of the strap so that the carabiner
hook (14a) is approx. one hand-width beneath the
right hip.
3. Attach the carabiner hook (14a) to the lifting eye (3).
4. Allow the product to settle.
Notes:
WARNING
Check the safety tab regularly before each start-up!
If necessary, the shoulder strap (14) can be quickly re-
leased from the product by pulling on the safety tab (14b).
9.2
Adjust the guide bar (2) (Fig. 1, 2)
1. Loosen the locking screw (9a) on the guide bar (9).
2. Set the guide bar (2) to a comfortable working position
for you.
3. Retighten the adjusting screw (9a).
9.3
Inserting/removing the battery (6)
in the battery mount (5) (Fig. 8)
CAUTION
Danger of injury!
Do not insert the battery until the battery-powered tool
is ready for use.
