General
Operating The external gas regulator measures and controls the required amount of gas.
principle This provides an adequate gas shield for all welding processes.
The external gas regulator has a gas sensor and a control valve. The welding ma-
chine continuously evaluates the measuring signal from the gas sensor and ensu-
res appropriate control of the control valve. The gas flow rate remains constant,
even with ring lines with frequent pressure fluctuations.
In Job Mode, gas volume set values can be saved individually for each job.
Two gas regulators can be installed in the gas regulator box. The gas regulators
can be installed at the factory or retrofitted.
Intended use The external gas regulator is exclusively intended for digital regulation and mete-
ring of gas quantities for TIG, plasma, and MIG/Mag applications for iWave wel-
ding machines and system components. Any other use shall be deemed to be not
in accordance with the intended use. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any
resulting damage.
