Inserting and removing the
battery
WARNING! Risk of injury due to
unintentional start-up. Only insert the re-
chargeable battery into the device once
the device is fully prepared for use.
NOTICE! Risk of damage! An incorrect
battery can damage the device and bat-
tery.
Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (17) along the guide
into the battery holder (4).
You will hear the battery click into
place.
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the battery release (18)
on the battery (17).
2. Pull the battery out of the battery hold-
er (4).
Switching on and off
WARNING! Risk of injury due to un-
intentional continuous operation of the
tool. Before inserting the batteries into the
device, check that the on/off switch (2)
works properly and returns to the off posi-
tion when released.
CAUTION! Ensure your stance is
stable and hold the device tightly with
both hands and away from your body. Be-
fore switching the device on, make sure
that it is not touching any objects.
WARNING! Risk of injury due to re-
rotation of the cutting unit. Allow the cut-
ting unit to come to a complete stop. Keep
hands and feet away!
Switching on
1. Insert the rechargeable battery (17) in-
to the tool.
2. Press the switch lock (3).
3. Press and hold the On/off switch (2).
4. Release the switch lock (3).

Switching off
1. To turn it off, release the on/off switch
(2).
2. Remove the rechargeable battery (17)
from the device if you are leaving the
device unattended or if you have fin-
ished working.
Transport
Information on transporting the tool:
• Switch off the device and remove the
battery (17). Make sure that all moving
parts have come to a complete stop.
• Always carry the device with two
hands: one hand on the handle (1)
and the other hand on the auxiliary
handle (15).
Cleaning, maintenance
and storage
WARNING! Risk of injury due to un-
intentional start-up. Protect yourself when
performing maintenance or cleaning work.
Switch off the device and remove the bat-
tery (17).
You should have any repair and mainten-
ance work that is not described in these
instructions carried out by our Service
Centre. Only use original replacement
parts.
Cleaning
WARNING! Electric shock! Never
spray down the device with water.
NOTICE! Risk of damage. Chemical sub-
stances may attack the plastic parts of the
machine. Do not use any cleaning agents
or solvents.
• Keep the ventilation slits, motor housing
and handles of the machine clean. Use
a damp cloth or brush to do this.
