INIVAC
2.1 Safety tips
The Minivac is first and foremost an extraction system for mobile burner and soldering station.
Glowing particles, flammable and explosive mixtures must not be drawn in! Do not draw in liquid media!
Never use without or with a damaged filter element. Motor and fan will be severely damaged!
The extraction system must not be operated with burning flames, flammable or explosive gas mixtures!
Danger of fire or explosion!
The extraction and separation of aluminium dust is not permitted!
Only perform maintenance work once the extraction system has been taken off the power supply!
The collection element should always be positioned so that the thermal movement of the welding smoke is exploited!
It is important to ensure that the power cable is not damaged by being run over, pinched, dragged, etc.!
The power cable must be checked regularly for signs of damage and wear!
The device must not be used if the power cable is not in perfect condition!
Always connect self-dedusting Minivac extraction systems to a compressed air supply!
Please ensure that only dry, oil-free compressed air with a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 6 bar is used!
The system should only be used by trained staff who are familiar with how to operate it!
When extracting carcinogenic welding fumes, such as fumes from nickel or chromium-containing materials the requirements set
out in Technical Rule 560 regarding the "air return when dealing with carcinogenic substances" must be adhered to at all times!
It is important to ensure that no conductive connection is created between the Minivac and the welding power source or the workpiece while
the system is operating since the welding current might otherwise be conducted in full or in part through the Minivac protective conductor!
Prior to commissioning the Minivac you must always ensure that a suitable filter element is installed!
Periodically perform all maintenance activities to ensure that the system is running perfectly!
Use only original FUMATOR
Repairs to Minivac extraction systems must only be carried out by a trained specialist!
Follow accident prevention regulations!
Minivac extraction systems with castor wheels must be locked in place at their working position using the locking brakes.
Minivac extraction systems have no EX-protection !!
2.2 Field of application
The health of your employees as well as existing legal provisions require an adequate extraction system for soldering fumes and
welding smoke as well as other air contaminants in the work area.
Oily welding fumes should not be extracted, as this will cause the filter surface to become clogged, which in turn would result in
a significant reduction of the filter life. This easily transportable high vacuum extraction system is ideal for flexible use in different
work locations.
Due to its high vacuum performance (up to 37500Pa) the Minivac is ideally for use as an extraction system for welding fumes
directly at source (torch extraction) as well as a soldering station extraction system.
The Minivac is equipped with a high-performance turbine featuring a cutting-edge brushless and ignition source-free continuous
motor system, with a much higher service life than universal commutator motors. Moreover, this motor system has also made it
possible to reduce the noise level to below 68dB
All models are fitted with a high efficiency filter cartridge, which offers excellent cleanability.
The welding fume extractor is suitable for gas, manual arc, MIG, MAG, TIG and laser welding processes.
It is suitable for the separation of fume particles generated during the welding process of the following materials:
Low alloy steels (e.g. iron oxides)
The Minivac is designed for the extraction and separation of welding or brazing fumes.
Tthe use as a vacuum cleaner or grinding dust extractor is not permitted.
