Check the charge status of the
battery
The charge status indicator (28) indicates the charge sta-
tus of the battery (5).
The charge status of the battery is indicated by the corre-
sponding LED light lighting up.
1. Press the charge status indicator button on the battery
(27).

Depleted batteries
• A significantly shortened operating time despite
charging indicates that the battery has been used up
and needs to be replaced. Only use original replace-
ment batteries.
• In any case, observe the applicable safety instructions
as well as regulations and instructions on environmen-
tal protection (see "Disposal and recycling").
9.4
Charge battery (5)
Charge the battery at an ambient temperature of 4 °C to
40°C.
1. Push the battery (5) into the battery mount up to the
stop.
2. Plug the mains plug into the socket. The LED strip
(14) lights up green.
3. As soon as the charging process starts, the LED strip
(14) flashes green.
4. The LED strip (14) lights up green when charging is
complete. The battery (5) is ready for use.
ATTENTION
If the red LED strips flash, the battery has overheat-
ed and cannot be charged.
If the LED strip flashes red and green alternately,
the battery is defective.
5. Pull the battery (5) out of the battery holder.
6. Wait at least 15 min until a new charging process.
Therefore, pull the mains plug out of the outlet.

Inserting/removing the tool
attachment
WARNING
Tool attachments may be sharp and become hot during
use. Always wear protective gloves when handling the
tool attachments.
CAUTION
Keep your hands away from the tool attachment when
the product is in operation.
1. Turn the quick-release chuck (2) anti-clockwise until
the chuck opening (1) is large enough to insert the
tool attachment.

2. Insert the tool attachment into the quick-release chuck
(2) as far as possible.
3. Turn the quick-release chuck (2) clockwise to clamp
the tool attachment tight.
4. To remove the tool attachment again, untwist the
quick-release chuck (2) and remove the tool attach-
ment.

Test run (Fig. 1)
Note:
Before the first work and after each tool attachment
change, carry out a test run without load. Switch off the
product immediately if the tool attachment runs out of
round, there is considerable vibration or abnormal noises
are heard.
1. Before operation, check whether the tool attachment
is properly attached, i.e. centred in the quick-release
chuck (2).
2. Screw bits are marked with their dimensions and
shape. If you are unsure, always try out first whether
the bit sits in the screw head without play.

Gear selection (Fig. 1)
1. Push the gear selector switch (4) to 1
sponding to a low or high speed selection.

Set direction of rotation
ATTENTION
The direction of rotation switch may only be actuated
when idle.
With the direction of rotation switch, you can select the di-
rection of rotation of the product (clockwise or anti-clock-
wise) and secure the product from being switched on un-
intentionally. The arrow on the direction of rotation switch
indicates the working direction.
1. Wait until the product has come to a standstill.
2. Push the direction of rotation switch (10) to the de-
sired position:
– Clockwise rotation: For drilling and screwing
in screws. Press the direction of rotation switch to
the right.
– Anti-clockwise rotation: To undo screws. Press
the direction of rotation switch to the left.
3. Switch lock: Put the direction of rotation switch in the
centre position.
