4. Infinitely variable stick units
The stick length can be adjusted to the pilot's preference.
Loosen part A and B {see arrows}, set the length of part A
as required, reversing part B.
The short grips are particularly suited for pilots who prefer to
hold the transmitter in their hand, whereas the long stick
grips are best for pilots who prefer "desk-operation" of their
transmitter.
5. Detaching back-plate of transmitter
Push out sliding lock by approx. 2 cm, lift off bottom section
at seam next fo sliding locks whilst simultaneously applying
slight pressure towards the front. Please note that neither
the aerial nor battery case can drop out of their supports.
Close the transmitter in reverse sequence, whilst ensuring
that the pins of the HF-module-plug are not bent. When
closing the unit, always firstinsert bottom section at the front
of the transmitter housing (to the left and right-hand of ihe
aerial-ball) and only then close the back.

The F-14 transmitter is designed for use with type IEC-R6
(Mignon) batteries, or re-chargable nicad cells (Mignon pin-
cell batteries) Order No. 8000. Use only top-quality alkali-
manganese-type dry cell batteries. 8 batteries are required
for the transmitter, and the receiver is powered by 4batteries
in its case. The batteries are to be fitted according to the
polarity symbols. If the poles are confused, any defects
which arise are not covered by the guarantee. Remove run-
down batteries: if the electrolyte leaks, the transmitter could
be damaged.
