The
connection
diagrams shown
in the follow-
ing section are explained
with reference to the
standard connection diagram for PCM recording/
playback shown
in Fig. 3.
As
the provided
signal cords
are used
for the
standard
connection, obtain
the optional signal
cords for other application connection.
When
PCM
recording/playback
is performed,
make
sure
to set the VCR
to be used
to the
B/W mode.

e if the TAPE-1
terminals are not being used
for the connection
of a tape deck, they can
be
used
instead
of
the
TAPE-2
terminals
shown
here.
Certain
amplifiers
may
have
TAPE terminals on their front panel.
e@ Be sure to use the provided signal cord when
connecting
a VCR. When extending this cord,
use
a cord exclusively
for video
and
with
a
length
of Jess than
10m
to obtain
the best
performance.
e@Certain
VCRs
may
have video
input/output
terminals on their front panel.
@Make
sure to set the input selector of the
VCR,
if it has
one,
to the
external
input
(AUX), camera
position or the like; otherwise
PCM recording is impossible.
eWhen
the
VCR
has
separate
video
input/
output terminals on the front and rear panels,
separate the provided signal cord into two.
@When
microphones
are
connected
to
the
microphone jacks, line/mic mixing is possible.
eSince
there are many
types of VCR, consult
your JVC dealer when connecting yours.
