8.11 SELECTING MASKING
By activating FA+AL DIP of SW2 it is possible, in the case of masking or fault, to
have two types of message:
FA+AL DIP to OFF:
Simultaneous opening of the antimasking output (FA) and the alarm output
(ALARM) (VdS sec.)
FA+AL DIP to ON:
Only the fault/antimasking (FA) output opens.
8.12 RESET FAULT/ANTIMASKING
Using RST-FA DIP of SW2 it is possible to configure the sensor so that the fault/
antimasking Reset takes place after the performance of a positive coverage test
in the WALK TEST condition (obviously after eliminated the condition which has
occurred), or using automatic Reset.
RST-FA DIP to OFF
Reset of the fault/antimasking message in the WALK TEST mode (VdS sec.)
RST-FA DIP to ON
Automatic reset
8.13 FAULT/ANTIMASKING MESSAGE
Activate SEL-FA DIP of SW2 to choose the mode with which to display a fault/
antimasking.
SEL-FA DIP to OFF
Displays the subsequent shutdown of the system (VdS sec.)
SEL-FA DIP to ON
Immediate message
8.14 SELECTING THE OPERATING MODE
The VdS/STD DIP must be in the OFF position in compliance with class C/VdS.

8.15 ENGAGING LED
Using the JP2 bridge it is possible to engage/disengage the led function.
JP2 BRIDGE
Connected:
Led disengaged
Not connected:
Led engaged for function
With the WALK TEST (see TE Test input, point 8.3.1) the led message is obtained,
even if JP2 is engaged (led disengaged).
If the JP2 bridge is cont connected (led engaged) the led status is controlled by
the TC and TE inputs (in WALK TEST mode).
9.0 AUTOEQUALIZER FUNCTION
The deriving signals from the two sections of the detector come taken care of,
so that allow the recognition of an actual intrusion condition within the protected
environment. Even in the presence of especially intense background noise, the
AUTOEQUALIZER function allows dynamic adapting of the alarm threshold and
optimization of the condition of detection, even in hampered enviroments.
10.0 AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE
COMPENSATION
The detector is equipped with automatic temperature compensation allowing
detection sensitivity to be adapted to the different environmental heat conditions.
11.0 SELF-DIAGNOSIS
The sensor has two self-diagnosis systems (with associated signals and
messages which can be displayed through a special dedicated output).
The first type of self-diagnosis is the constant surveillance of certain sensor
functions, such as: checking the power voltage, checking the noise level in each
individual sector, etc.
