Cleaning

Before cleaning the extraction hood, disconnect the mains plug. If it is

inaccessible, isolate the power at the main fuse.
Grease deposits on the extraction hood can ignite by extreme heat.
Therefore, it is important that the surface of the extraction hood is
regularly cleaned, externally and internally.
Use a moist cloth with a little washing-up liquid to wipe the surfaces. The glass
can be cleaned using commercial glass cleaner. Do not use sharp objects or
scouring powder, because the surfaces will become scratched.

Grease deposits on the extraction hood can ignite by extreme heat.

Therefore, it is important that the grease filter is regularly cleaned/
replaced.
• Clean the metallic grease filter once a month – as required, more often – in
the dishwasher (up to 65 °C) or warm soapy water.
• Only replace the grease filter when it is completely dry.
• Handle the grease filter carefully, so that the fine mesh does not bend or kink.
• If the metal filter becomes unserviceable after several cleaning cycles (kinked,
damaged or unsightly), replace it with a commercial fleece grease filter of the
same size. These can be usually cut to the appropriate size using scissors if
they do not fit exactly.
1. Disconnect the mains plug or isolate at the appropriate main fuse.
2. Push the lock on the grease filters 1a backwards and remove the grease filters
1a carefully downwards.
3. Wash the grease filters 1a in the dishwasher or sink like normal crockery.
