■ Before cleaning the exhaust hood or
changing the filter, pull out the mains
plug. If the mains plug is difficult to
access, switch off the corresponding
fuse or pull it out.
CAUTION
Fire hazard!
Improper handling of the appliance
or incorrect maintenance can result in
grease residue catching fire.
■ Grease residue on the exhaust hood or
in the grease filters can catch fire if ex-
posed to high temperatures. For this rea-
son, clean the surfaces of the exhaust
hood and grease filters regularly.
Cleaning the housing
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
■ Do not use any sharp objects or scou-
ring powders, as these can scratch
the surface.
We recommend cleaning the surfaces of the
exhaust hood after every use.
• Wipe the surfaces with a soft, damp cloth
and a little dishwashing detergent.
• Clean glass surfaces with standard glass
cleaner.
Care and maintenance
Cleaning the grease filters
NOTICE
Risk of damage to property!
■ Handle the grease filters carefully to
avoid bending or creasing the fine
mesh.
■ Only reinsert the grease filters after
cleaning once they are fully dry.
Clean the grease filters once a month – or
more frequently if necessary – in the dishwas-
her (up to 60 °C), or soak in lukewarm water
with detergent.
1. Unplug the mains plug or switch off the
corresponding circuit.

2. Open the lock (14) on one grease filter (13)
and carefully remove the grease filter.
3. Repeat this step for the second grease
filter.
4. Wash the grease filters (13) in a dishwas-
her or in the sink like ordinary dishware.
