All about batteries/rechargeable batteries:
• Use alkaline batteries for best performance and longer life.
• Use only the battery type recommended for the unit.
• Batteries must only be replaced by an adult.
• Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
• Do not mix different types of batteries or old and new batteries.
• Do not short-circuit batteries.
• Do not mix rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries.
• Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before charging.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be recharged only under adult supervision.
• When the product is not used for an extended time, switch button to "OFF" position for longer battery life time.
• We also recommend removing batteries to prevent possible leakage and damage to the unit.
• If moisture gets into the battery compartment, dry with a cloth.
• Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy and taken to special waste collection point.
• Do not throw batteries into a fire as they may explode or leak.
Preparation
Included Batteries are only intended to use for demonstration at retail.
Insertion of batteries should be done by an adult as follows:
1. Set the switch on the battery compartment to "OFF".
2. Use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment.
3. Insert the 3 x 1.5V AA (LR6) batteries. Please check if the polarity is correct.
4. Screw the cover of the battery compartment back on again.
5. Set the switch on the battery compartment to "ON".
Function
The BABY born® Interactive Kitchen only operates properly when the ON/OFF/Try Me switch is switched to the ON position.
Important
Before you can play the interactive feature, please press one of the buttons at the stove or push the water-tap or open
the backing oven door.
Interaction with BABY born® Interactive
Please note that the following functions will only work with the new BABY born® interactive doll, which has to have the
"Interactive –Logo" on the packaging.
All explanations are front view oriented.
Interactive functions:
When the doll comes
• from the front, you can hear the sizzling sound and see the heating lights of both cooktops and the backing oven light
appears.
• from the back side, you hear the favourite kitchen song.
• from the left side, you hear the water and the dishwashing sound.
Please note: If the doll is too close to one side of the kitchen, it may happen that you might also trigger the sound of the
opposite side.
Manual action:
• push the button in the middle of the stove, you can hear the sizzling sound and see the heating lights at both cooktops.
(Please note it will switch OFF by itself after a while, so you can restart by pressing again.)
• push the button at the right side of the stove, you can hear the sizzling sound and see the heating light at the right
cooktop. (Please note it will switch OFF by itself after a while, so you can restart by pressing again.)
• push the button at the left side of the stove, you can hear the sizzling sound and see the heating light at the left cooktop.
(Please note it will switch OFF by itself after a while, so you can restart by pressing again.)
• push the water-tap, you can hear the fresh tap water sound.
• open the backing oven door, you can see the light inside.
Standby:
After 2 minutes without playing with your BABY born® Interactive Kitchen, it will switch to Standby mode. To restart BABY
born® Interactive Kitchen push any button on the stove or push the water-tap or open the backing oven door.
Try me:
Push of the buttons at the front of the stove for a short demonstration of different functions of the BABY born® Interactive
Kitchen.
The Try me mode operates properly when the ON/OFF/Try Me switch is switched to the Try me position.
