Intended Use
Ambr
CF Adapter Kit is designed for use in the Ambr
The
®
DF Module. The product is suitable for the crossflow filtrations
"ultrafiltration" (UF) and "diafiltration" (DF). The product is an optional
accessory that allows the use of other filters instead of the standard Ambr
CF filter.
For the control of the filtration processes, only the control unit and the
Ambr
Crossflow software, release 19 or subsequent, may be used. The
®
filtration processes can be automated using the Ambr
If processes used differ from the predefined processes in the Ambr
flow software, e.g., when operating a feed pump in reverse operation: A spe-
cific risk assessment must be carried out for the filtration processes in order
to exclude hazards from the differing processes.
Only supported filters may be used in the product (see chapter "9.3
Approved Sartorius Filters", page 23 | chapter "9.4 Other Approved
Filters", page 24). The filters in the adapter are designed for single-use
and must be disposed of after use, with the exception of the Hollow Fiber
TFF Modules | Re-use Line. The product itself can be cleaned in place and
reused. However, the software does not include functionality for cleaning
the filter post-use. Operators wanting to reuse a filter must create their own
cleaning protocol and conduct required risk assessments.
