TEST + CHARGE (ONLY FOR 12V BATTERIES)
The TEST + CHARGE function is a combination of a battery charge and a battery
load test for 12V lead batteries. Before charging and after completion of the char-
ge, the battery is loaded with a medium current for several seconds in order to
to be able to assess the battery condition.
After selecting the battery size, a first load test starts.
The test results of the load test and the charging progress are displayed on the
screen and can also be written to a USB stick in a test log after completion of the
test. The USB socket is located above the display.
If the test determines that the battery is weak, up to two 5-minute charge test
cycles are performed to distinguish a defective from an empty battery. The display
shows the respective status.
After the initial test is complete, the battery can be fully charged and undergo a
final evaluation.
